Production Services
This group is responsible to advise the small and medium scale engineering industry for the improvements in the production technology and quality control. The Centre is equipped to manufacture jigs fixtures, punching tools and dies, simple gauges and compound gauges of various types, precision machine components, different types of small gears and spare parts, quality control equipment, proto-types, etc. Dimensional accuracy upto 0.003 mm and redial accuracy upto 2 seconds can be achieved.
Design Services
This section is responsible to maintain necessary international standards and reference material to meet the drawing and design requirements of al those activities as mentioned in Production Services. This section can also design jigs, fixtures, punching tools, dies and quality control equipment for the industries.
INSTRUMENT REPAIR AND CALLIBRATION SERVICES
This Section has technical know-how and equipped enough to undertake repair, maintenance and calibration of the following instruments.
I. Electrical Instruments: Both moving iron and moving coil type and include ammeter, voltmeter, avo-meter, energy meter, temperature recorder, synchros-cope, pyrometer, etc
II. Optical Instruments: These include microscopes, telescopes, binoculars, sex-tants, engineering levels, theodolites, profile projectors, etc
III. Electronics Instruments: Such as oscilloscope, echo sound recorder, vacuum voltmeters, control and interlocking modules of process computers, electronic calculators, electronic organ, high voltage leak detectors, etc
IV. Fine Mechanical Instruments: Such as speedometers, tachometers calculators, detector, etc
V. Precision Balances: Both analytical and precision balances used for research and testing laboratories.
VI. Pressure Gauges: Both pressure and vacuum types but excluding those used for oxygen and acetylene.
